Iran’s economy minister meets Uzbek and Qatari counterparts

Qatar’s Economy Minister highlighted the importance of Iran’s valuable experiences, especially in the financial sector, during a meeting with Abdolnaser Hemmati. The two countries aim to activate the joint financial exchange committee and strengthen their partnership through agreements to utilize mutual capacities.

On the sidelines of the AIIB meeting, Hemmati also met with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy to discuss bilateral relations. They reviewed previous agreements, addressed banking and monetary challenges, and focused on increasing transit and trade to reach one billion dollars.

The Uzbek minister emphasized the cultural exchange at the AIIB meeting, highlighting the country’s goal of deepening relations with Iran and developing economic corridors. This collaboration signifies a strategic approach to strengthen ties and showcase Uzbekistan’s culture to the global community.
