“We South Africans know what apartheid looks like…We will not remain silent and watch as apartheid is perpetrated against others.”

In a powerful address to the UN General Assembly, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa condemned the ongoing apartheid against Palestinians, likening it to the historical injustice his own country faced. Referring to the Hamas resistance operation and Israel’s subsequent actions, Ramaphosa emphasized the need to end the collective punishment and violence.

With over 40,000 Palestinian lives lost and widespread destruction, Ramaphosa called for urgent action to address the humanitarian crisis. He highlighted South Africa’s legal efforts against Israeli genocide and stressed the importance of UN reform for global peace.

As Israel faces scrutiny for its actions in Gaza, the world watches as the devastation continues, prompting calls for justice and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
