The machinery, including a telescopic loader, tractors, and a corn harvester, operated dangerously close to the embankment’s base, resulting in structural harm.

Prosecution Office spokesperson Liliana Łukasiewicz expressed the immediate risk posed by the damage, as it could lead to a breach and potential flooding of nearby areas. The incident took place during a flood alert, heightening the gravity of the situation and the potential consequences.

Those responsible for the damage may face serious charges, including endangering lives and property, with possible penalties ranging from 6 months to 8 years in prison. The investigation underscores the importance of adhering to safety regulations, especially in areas prone to natural disasters.
