China and Bangladesh collaborate to advance longstanding friendship.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed readiness to strengthen the traditional friendship between China and Bangladesh. Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, conveyed this message during a meeting with Muhammad Yunus, leader of the interim government of Bangladesh at the UN General Assembly in New York.

Highlighting the deep-rooted friendship between the two countries, Wang emphasized the importance of enhancing political trust and promoting cooperation under the Belt and Road initiative. He also mentioned China’s willingness to collaborate with Bangladesh in agriculture, poverty alleviation, and new energy sectors to support the nation’s development goals.

In response, Yunus expressed eagerness to learn from China’s experiences and expand bilateral cooperation further. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to fostering economic and social development through mutual collaboration.
