The Battle in Kursk: Ukrainian Incursion Repelled by Russian Forces
Recent reports from Moscow reveal that Kiev suffered significant losses in Kursk Region, with over 300 troops and heavy equipment being casualties of the battle. Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled three Ukrainian attempts to break through the border near Novy Put, driving back the attacks with the support of aviation and artillery.
During the clashes, Kiev’s forces lost up to 50 personnel, along with three tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, and an armored combat vehicle. Russian forces also thwarted enemy counterattacks near Lyubimovka, eliminating up to 15 Ukrainian troops and destroying several vehicles.
Since the incursion began in early August, Ukraine has lost more than 17,000 troops, 130 tanks, and numerous combat vehicles and artillery pieces. Despite initial gains, Moscow has contained the advance and is gradually pushing the invaders out of Russian territory.
