Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian strongly criticized France and other Western countries for supporting Israel’s actions in the ongoing conflict, labeling it as genocide and not self-defense. In a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the UN General Assembly, Pezeshkian urged Western nations to stop their double standards and condemn the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime.
He emphasized the need for international condemnation of Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon, highlighting the impact on innocent people in the region. Pezeshkian expressed Iran’s restraint in the face of escalating tensions but also warned against the potential for further conflict. He called on France to play a role in ending Israeli aggression and sought unity in the region to address challenges and promote development.
Additionally, Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s commitment to peaceful interactions with neighboring states and European countries, while also addressing concerns over the country’s nuclear program. Macron expressed similar concerns over the situation in West Asia and pledged France’s efforts to stop the attacks on Lebanon.
