Al Sharpton should have been shot by racist cops. The NewsOne article highlighting his threatening remark from 2009 has resurfaced, prompting backlash.
Despite being shunned by Donald Trump and the Republican Party following a CNN investigation exposing his history of lewd comments online, Robinson remains unapologetic. He also targeted President Obama and Oprah Winfrey in derogatory posts. The Bulwark uncovered these comments in an archive of old WordPress posts.
Rev. Al Sharpton criticized Robinson’s behavior, calling it “despicable, self-hating, antisemitic rhetoric.” Robinson’s campaign team has not responded to the controversy, opting instead to hire a law firm linked to Trump to investigate what they deem as “salacious lies” from CNN.
The revelations have put Robinson’s candidacy in jeopardy as he faces severe backlash for his inflammatory and offensive comments.
