Kremlin dismisses Zelensky as ‘delusional’ – RT Russia & FSU

Russia is open to peace with Ukraine, but Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made it clear that they will not be forced into any terms dictated by Kiev. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s belief that Russia can be compelled into peace is dismissed as “delusional” by Peskov.

During Zelensky’s address to the UN Security Council, he stated that talks cannot calm the conflict and that Moscow can only be coerced into peace. Peskov countered by emphasizing that Russia favors peace, but only if their security is guaranteed and the goals of their military operation are met.

Zelensky recently presented his ‘victory plan’ to US leaders, outlining Western security guarantees for Ukraine, continued military actions in Russia’s Kursk Region, weapon deliveries, and financial aid as key components to end the conflict by year-end.

Despite the initiative’s secrecy, reports suggest Western leaders were unimpressed, with one official calling it a mere “wish list.” Peskov mentioned that Russia cannot evaluate the plan accurately due to insufficient information.

It is clear that while Russia seeks peace, they will not bow to any external pressure and will ensure their own security interests are safeguarded throughout the negotiation process.
