Iran president condemns Israeli crimes in talks with Serbian leader

During a meeting with President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia at the United Nations General Assembly, Iranian President Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon. He highlighted the need to respect international laws that protect civilians, especially women and children, from such atrocities.

Pezeshkian questioned the legitimacy of the Zionist regime’s actions in the name of self-defense, emphasizing the innocence of victims, including newborn babies. He called for increased cooperation between Iran and Serbia, emphasizing the potential for mutual benefits.

President Vučić shared concerns about the unjust actions of Israel with American support. He praised Iran’s support for Serbia’s territorial integrity and echoed the call for stronger bilateral relations.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment to peace and cooperation while condemning acts of aggression that threaten innocent lives.
