The recent controversy surrounding the alleged use of animal fat in Tirupati laddu has not affected the sale of this prasad at Sri Venkateshwara Temple, with over 14 lakh laddus sold in the past four days. Despite the claims made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, devotees remain steadfast in their faith, citing strong belief in the sanctity of the prasadam.
To address the concerns raised, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted a purification ritual to restore the sanctity of the laddu prasadams and other food offerings. Additionally, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a show cause notice to a Tamil Nadu-based firm for allegedly supplying substandard ghee to TTD, further intensifying the ongoing controversy.
As the uproar continues to resonate across the country, the devotees at the temple remain unwavering in their faith and devotion to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The sacred rituals and traditional practices carried out at the temple serve to reinforce the belief in the purity of the prasadams, ensuring the well-being of the deity’s devotees.
