President Bashar al-Assad recently led a crucial meeting for the new cabinet following their induction into office. Emphasizing the need to support Lebanon amidst the Israeli aggression, Assad highlighted the urgency of standing by their Lebanese counterparts.
The Lebanese health minister reported 51 fatalities and 223 injuries from Wednesday’s severe attacks by Israel. This came after continuous Israeli assaults on Lebanon, resulting in over 570 deaths, including 50 children and 94 women, with more than 1,835 individuals wounded.
As Hezbollah retaliated with rockets to defend Lebanon, Israel threatened a ground invasion. The international community condemned Israel for their violent actions in Lebanon and Gaza, where over 41,495 people lost their lives, and 96,006 were injured in less than a year.
It is crucial for Syria to show support and solidarity with Lebanon during these tumultuous times of conflict and aggression. With the situation escalating, unity and cooperation are more important than ever.
