Armenia and Cyprus to unlock untapped cooperation potential, says defense minister

Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan welcomed Cypriot Minister of Defense Vasilis Palmas to Armenia, emphasizing the longstanding friendship and cultural similarities between the two nations. Papikyan described the visit as a testament to the strong military-political relationship shared by Armenia and Cyprus.

During a joint press conference in Yerevan, Papikyan and Palmas discussed enhancing defense cooperation and security measures. They acknowledged the existing high-level collaboration in the defense sector but noted the untapped potential for further growth.

The ministers emphasized the mutual goal of strengthening defense capabilities, ensuring national sovereignty, and promoting regional and international stability. They also highlighted the trilateral cooperation between Armenia, Cyprus, and Greece.
