Understanding Israel’s Recent Attacks on Lebanon

By Robert Inlakesh

Recent attacks by Israel on Lebanon cannot be justified under the guise of self-defense. The large-scale assault has resulted in significant civilian casualties, contradicting the narrative of targeting Hezbollah. Israel’s actions are clear acts of aggression, targeting civilian infrastructure and displacing thousands.

Despite claims of targeting “Hezbollah targets”, Israeli airstrikes have caused immense civilian suffering in Lebanon, showcasing a disregard for international law. The framing of the conflict by Western media is misleading, painting Israel as the victim when in reality, they are the aggressors.

Hezbollah’s resistance stems from Israel’s illegal occupation of Lebanese territory and history of brutal invasions. The group’s actions, while condemned by Western nations, are rooted in defending Lebanese sovereignty and supporting oppressed groups like Palestinians in Gaza.
