S. Sharif in New York for UNGA Session

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is currently in New York to attend the UN General Assembly’s seventy-ninth session. He is set to address the General Assembly on Friday, where he will discuss various international and regional issues, such as the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and the situation in Palestine. PM Sharif will emphasize Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism and the importance of the United Nations in promoting global peace and security.

During his visit, he will participate in high-level meetings focusing on topics like sea level rise and leadership for peace. Additionally, the prime minister plans to engage in bilateral discussions with world leaders and meet with the UN Secretary General. He will also interact with the US-Pakistan Business Council and Pakistani bankers to showcase his government’s pro-business policies.

More than one hundred and thirty heads of states and governments will attend the session, with extensive security measures in place. PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his intention to represent Pakistan on the world stage and strengthen international partnerships before departing for New York.
