“We must use the law to resist as far as it allows, but also resist outside of it, by any means possible.”

The 11th Congress of the Palestinian Arab Federation of Brazil (Fepal) concluded in São Paulo, focusing on the role of the Palestinian-Brazilian Diaspora in liberation. Professor Salem Nasser highlighted the ongoing genocide in Palestine, calling for action within and beyond the law. Fepal President Ualid Rabah emphasized the fight against Zionism and genocide.

Key Discussions and Outcomes

Discussions at the congress covered topics such as youth engagement, human rights, and international solidarity. Francisco Rezek criticized US leaders for supporting Zionism, while Emir Mourad honored Lebanon’s anti-Zionist history. The event mobilized a record number of delegates and outlined new challenges for the organization.

Commitment to Palestine

As the congress concluded, President Rabah reaffirmed their dedication to organizing for Palestine. With Brazil’s significant Palestinian and Arab population, Fepal continues to serve as a crucial voice for diaspora communities.
