In an exciting announcement, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov revealed that over 2 million citizens will be impacted by new salary increases and social payments set to roll out by 2025. This news was shared during a speech at the discussion of the draft state budget and consolidated budget for the upcoming years.

Key highlights of the budget plan include projected revenues of 36.6 billion manat ($21.5 billion) and expenditures of 39.6 billion manat ($23.2 billion) for 2025. The focus is on developing the non-oil economy, with a real GDP growth rate of 3.5 percent expected. Social protection, education, and healthcare are prioritized, with 43 percent of the state budget allocated to social expenditures.

Additionally, funds will be allocated to strengthen national security, modernize the Armed Forces, and support military personnel. Defense and national security expenditures will account for approximately 17 percent of the total budget expenditures in the coming year.

With a strong emphasis on social welfare and economic development, Azerbaijan is poised for growth and progress in the years ahead.
