India has made a bold move by inviting political and military opponents of Myanmar’s ruling junta to a seminar in New Delhi, in a significant gesture considering the ongoing civil war since the military coup in February 2021. The invitees include members of the parallel National Unity Government (NUG) and ethnic minority rebels from Chin, Rakhine, and Kachin states bordering India.
