The government has revealed progress on cracking down on land grab offenders at the Villa Rosa luxury estate in southern Hong Kong. The Development Bureau reported that 11 detached houses had illegally occupied government land in Tai Tam, prompting notifications to the owners demanding changes to comply with the law.
Experts and lawmakers are urging authorities to conduct more inspections of suspected land grab properties and expedite prosecution of owners who fail to comply. Those who do not adhere to the notification will face legal action, according to the bureau.
