Swiss Parliament Faces Opposition from Azerbaijani Diaspora Organizations
A group of deputies from the Swiss Federal Assembly recently submitted a biased survey to the Swiss government regarding Azerbaijan, sparking opposition from Azerbaijani diaspora organizations in Switzerland. In response, the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in Switzerland issued a statement emphasizing the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries and highlighting the misleading accusations of “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing” in the Swiss parliament.
The statement also underlined the significance of the upcoming COP29 Summit in Azerbaijan, stressing its role in addressing global environmental issues and promoting regional peace. Members of the Swiss Parliament were urged to approach these issues responsibly and avoid manipulation.
