Driving License Requirements in Sindh
In Sindh, it is mandatory for citizens to possess a valid driving license to drive a vehicle and avoid legal consequences. The Driving License Department issues licenses for cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles after conducting theoretical and practical tests.
According to the Motor Vehicle Ordinance, individuals must be at least 18 years old to apply for a driving license. Before visiting the driving license branch, applicants need to obtain an online pre-appointment.
After registering and undergoing a medical examination, applicants receive a learner’s license for a year before obtaining a permanent one. The permanent license for cars and motorcycles can be valid for three or five years, with different fees.
Current License Fees
The fee for a three-year license is Rs1,410, while a five-year license costs Rs1,860. Additional fixed charges for services like lamination, Nadra, medical examination, corrections, duplicates, and PSV apply.
