Sarmat Missile Test in Arkhangelsk Raises Alarm in Western Media

Reports from Western media have stirred controversy surrounding a supposed incident during the testing of the Sarmat missile at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region of Russia. The Kremlin denied any involvement and directed inquiries to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Speculations arose as preparations for the Sarmat missile test were allegedly underway without official confirmation. Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, advised reaching out to the military for details.

“We do not have any information on this matter. This is rather a question that falls within the competence of our military, so I recommend contacting them,” he said.

MeNMyRC project initially reported the incident, presenting satellite images of the location. The Sarmat missile, referred to as Putin’s superweapon, was speculated to have undergone tests. An American reconnaissance aircraft was later seen in the area.

Russian President Putin had earlier announced the deployment of Sarmat missiles to troops, highlighting its significance as a powerful ballistic missile system.
