Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is all set to make a grand appearance at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. His five-day visit kicks off in the Big Apple after a two-day stopover in London.
Prior to his departure from Islamabad, PM Shehbaz expressed his intention to showcase Pakistan’s stance on global issues, foster international relationships, and advocate for the nation’s interests. He is scheduled to participate in significant meetings such as discussions on climate change, sea-level rise, terrorism, and the crisis in Kashmir and Palestine.
The premier will also engage with key figures including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Bill Gates, and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. Moreover, he plans to collaborate with the UN to address the ongoing human rights violations in Palestine.
Accompanied by a delegation including Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, PM Shehbaz aims to highlight Pakistan’s pro-business environment and seek opportunities for investment. His visit emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in resolving global challenges.
