Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of reform in global institutions for peace and development, suggesting that relevance stems from the speed of introducing reforms, hinting at India’s UN Security Council bid.
Speaking at the UN Summit For the Future in New York, Modi championed the inclusion of the African Union in the G20 New Delhi and India’s advocacy for Global South issues at international forums.
He called for alignment between global ambition and action in addressing terrorism and emerging conflicts in cyber, maritime, and space domains.
Modi stressed collective strength over battlefield prowess, showcasing India’s success in lifting millions out of poverty as a model for the Global South.
