The delay in Netanyahu’s trip to New York follows intensive airstrikes by Tel Aviv on Lebanon, resulting in over 100 casualties.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed his departure to New York for the second time due to increased tensions with the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. Originally planned for Monday, the trip has been rescheduled for Wednesday as Netanyahu addresses the UN General Assembly on Friday.

If the security situation worsens during his stay, Netanyahu will return to Israel immediately after his speech. Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have caused over 200 deaths, leading to a plea for calm by Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

Protests calling for Netanyahu’s arrest for alleged war crimes are planned in New York, emphasizing opposition to the ongoing conflict in the region.
