Exploring Energy Opportunities: Kyrgyzstan Invites Chinese Companies

Chinese energy companies have been extended an invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan for potential collaboration on constructing a hydroelectric power station in the country. This proposition was made by a Kyrgyz delegation, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev.

During their visit to the world’s largest hydroelectric power station, the Three Gorges Dam in China’s Hubei Province, the Kyrgyz delegation, including Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev, discussed issues in Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in the hydropower sector.

The Three Gorges Dam, towering 185 meters high with a capacity of 22,250 megawatts, served as an impressive backdrop for the dialogue. Insights into the operations of the dam were shared, paving the way for potential energy undertakings between the two nations.
