The Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) is taking a stand against allowing Turkey back into the F-35 program with a new petition addressed to key members of the US Congress.

The petition aims to prevent Turkey, which was previously excluded from the program, from gaining access to the advanced aircraft again. This action comes in response to reports of the Biden Administration considering a deal to reinclude Turkey in the F-35 program if they agree to certain conditions.

The letter urges Congress members to consider Turkey’s past actions, including violations of Greek airspace and alliances with entities that go against American interests. It emphasizes that rewarding Turkey with F-35s or other defense equipment would not align with US values.
