Government Increases House Rent Ceiling by 45%
The federal government has recently announced a considerable increase in the house rent ceiling for all its employees, ranging from grade 1 to 22, in six major cities. The highest increase can be observed in the federal capital, Islamabad.
Under the revised rates, employees in grade 22 will now have a rental ceiling of Rs142,743 per month in Islamabad and Rs125,989 in other cities. Similarly, grade 21 officials will see their rent go up to Rs119,278 in Islamabad and Rs98,378 in other cities.
This move aims to provide government employees with better accommodation options in major cities, making it more affordable for them to rent suitable residences. The decision was made following market surveys and feedback from various government servant segments.
With these increased rates, government employees will have better options for housing, ensuring comfortable living standards for those serving the nation.
