The Al Daein University in Sudan’s East Darfur State is gearing up for its graduation ceremony on November 20, as announced by the Council. A total of 755 students will be graduating, with the exception of those in specific medical fields continuing their studies for another four months. The Council has also approved the continuation of postgraduate programs and distance education.
During a recent meeting, the Secretary of Academic Affairs, Prof Khaled Abu Hala, highlighted the importance of assessing the academic situation across all colleges to determine the graduation date. Despite challenges, students like Abu Bakr Ismael and Dar Al-Naeem Abdel-Baggi Bishara expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the university and civil administration in facilitating their learning.
With studies having resumed at Al Daein University months ago, the institution has received financial support from civil society and the state government following a halt in funding from the Federal Ministry of Finance due to the war outbreak last year. As preparations for graduation continue, students eagerly anticipate the ceremony and hope for peace to prevail in Sudan.
