Akpata is Prepared to Serve in Any Capacity for a Stronger Nigeria

Says exercise was characterized by vote buying

ADC, others commend exercise, outcome

Olumide Akpata, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the recent governorship election, criticized the exercise as being marred by vote-buying by the APC and PDP. He expressed his willingness to contribute to making Nigeria and Edo State better. Akpata emphasized the need for genuine change and service to the country, regardless of social status. He also highlighted the lack of integrity in the election outcome, citing voter intimidation and result falsification.

Despite the challenges, ADC candidate Engr. Derek Izedomwen praised the exercise and congratulated the winners. He urged addressing claims of irregularities through legal means and emphasized the importance of upholding democratic principles. Former House of Representatives candidate Mighty Man and the Edo Professionals Alliance also lauded the election outcome, expressing hope for a better future for Edo State.

The emergence of Sen. Monday Okpebholo and Hon Dennis Idahosa as Governor and Deputy Governor-elect was seen as a positive step towards a brighter future for Edo State by various stakeholders and professionals.
