The Saudi-led coalition countries, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have prohibited the celebration of the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution in Aden and other southern provinces. The Ministry of Defense in the coalition-backed government issued a confidential document restricting celebrations to specific locations like Taiz, Marib, and Al-Anad base in Lahj province.

This decision was followed by a directive from the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council factions to refrain from any celebrations or flag-raising in Aden and other southern regions. The September 26 Revolution played a significant role in sparking the October 14 Revolution against British occupation in the south of Yemen in 1963.
