Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed to CNN that Ukraine is seeking permission to use long-range missiles on targets within Russia as part of his “victory plan” to be presented to US officials next week. Zelensky expressed frustration over the lack of approval from the US and UK, citing insufficient long-range weapons in their arsenal.
Zelensky blamed allies’ escalation fears for the hesitancy in authorizing the missile use. He expressed hope for a favorable outcome during his upcoming meetings with US officials, including President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as former President Donald Trump.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces reportedly targeted ammunition facilities in Russia, aiming to weaken Russian military infrastructure. The strikes were carried out in collaboration with Ukraine’s Security Service, with claims of significant damage to the enemy’s logistics system.
