A new play titled She Wanted to Dance, written by Hadar Galron, brings together survivors and first responders of the Supernova music festival massacre. Social media influencer Jessica Elter, a survivor who lost her partner, plays a character similar to herself. Rafaela Treistman, who also lost her partner in the attack, portrays Leia, a young woman who went missing during the massacre. Ron Mizrahi, a combat soldier, plays Tomer, while officer Yael Tamir plays a policewoman serving as a line of defense between terrorists and civilians.
The play, originating as a theatrical exercise at Beit Zvi acting school, is set to tour with discussions following each performance. Galron emphasizes the importance of showcasing this story in Israel. The plot unfolds through characters like Gabriel, raised in a conservative family, who grapples with the aftermath of the massacre. Through poignant scenes, the play captures the diversity and complexities of Israeli society.

Despite the immediacy of the trauma, She Wanted to Dance integrates social media and Jewish themes to present a unique narrative. While some may view the play as simplistic, it aims to reflect and elevate the collective pain of the Israeli people.
