Shia leader urges cutting US embassy staff in Iraq

IRNA’s latest report from Iraq reveals that the leader of the Sadrist Movement has called for a reduction in the US diplomatic mission in Baghdad. Emphasizing the importance of parliament’s approval in a peaceful manner, he stressed the government’s responsibility to follow through on this decision as a representation of the Iraqi people.

Additionally, he urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to condemn relations with the Zionist entity, advocating for the isolation of countries normalizing ties with Israel. In light of recent events in Palestine and Lebanon, Sadr called for a united front against the Zionist regime’s actions.

Furthermore, Muqtada al-Sadr insisted on cutting off economic and political ties with the US, pushing for Arab and Islamic nations to resist American interference. With a firm stance against Washington, he seeks to protect the sovereignty and integrity of these regions.
