Lebanese PM Urges International Community to Stop Israeli Aggression
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called on the international community to take a stand against what he describes as “horrific Israeli massacres” in Lebanon. Mikati had planned to travel to New York for the UN General Assembly but decided to cancel his trip in order to focus on the ongoing Israeli aggression in Lebanon.
At least 37 people, including children and women, were killed in a recent Israeli airstrike in Beirut. Hezbollah confirmed that 16 of its members, including senior leaders, were among the casualties. The attack came after a series of explosions in Lebanon for which the Lebanese government and Hezbollah have blamed Israel.
Mikati emphasized the need for international laws to protect civilians from being targeted and called on the international community and human conscience to take action against the Israeli aggression. The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has escalated since the Israeli war on Gaza, resulting in significant casualties.
