Israeli airstrikes kill 21 in Gaza school, officials report

In Gaza, authorities have accused the IDF of carrying out a “horrific massacre” at the al-Falah school, resulting in the deaths of 21 people, including 13 children, during an Israeli drone strike. The IDF claims Hamas operated a command center in the building. The strike occurred at the al-Falah school in Gaza City, where displaced Palestinians sought shelter. The Gaza Government Media Office reported that six women and a three-month-old baby were among the victims, with 30 people wounded. This attack was labeled a “horrific massacre.”

While Israel accuses Hamas of concealing weapons and command centers in civilian buildings, the IDF insists it targeted a Hamas command room in this school. Previous attacks on schools in Gaza have similarly claimed civilian lives. The ongoing conflict has left thousands dead and displaced, with severe humanitarian consequences noted by the UN.

The tragic incident at the al-Falah school underscores the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and an end to the suffering of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
