Israel-Hezbollah cross-border strikes intensify: Key information

The last 48 hours have seen the most intense exchanges of fire between Israel and Hezbollah since October 7. With Hezbollah launching rockets into northern Israel, Israel responded with nearly 300 strikes to prevent a major attack. Hezbollah retaliated with strikes in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah suffered losses after Israeli strikes targeted its members, including a top commander, in southern Beirut. The conflict escalated with Hezbollah launching rockets towards Israeli bases and targeting an Israeli tech company.

Israeli airstrikes continued, leading to new restrictions in northern Israel. The death toll in Beirut rose, and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu delayed his trip to the UN General Assembly. Al Jazeera’s offices were raided by Israeli soldiers.
