Ignore fake results, APC advises voters on Edo election

APC Urges Edo Electorate to Disregard Fake Election Results

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned voters in Edo State to ignore circulating election results as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is still in the process of collating results. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, issued this advice in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja.

Morka addressed reports on social media that were disseminating inaccurate figures of vote counts from the ongoing Edo Gubernatorial Election. He urged the public to disregard these misleading reports, emphasizing that the collation process at the Ward and Local Government levels is still underway.

While acknowledging that the APC is currently in a lead, Morka emphasized the importance of waiting for INEC’s official declaration of election results in accordance with the Electoral Act. He urged everyone to be patient, ignore false information, and await the final verdict from INEC.

It is crucial for the electorate to rely on credible sources and trust the official process. Let’s await the true outcome of the Edo election as announced by INEC.
