Many military officials and commentators who once claimed that “Hamas is deterred” are now asserting that Hamas has been defeated. While some argue that Hamas has been eliminated, the reality on the ground tells a different story. The IDF recently uncovered a document revealing that Hamas, though in distress, is still functioning and actively working to recover.
Despite facing significant losses in terms of weapons and personnel, Hamas continues to pose a threat, especially in Gaza’s northern areas, where it is rapidly regaining strength. The organization employs various tactics, including guerrilla warfare and exploitation of the population, to maintain its control.
The key to defeating Hamas lies not only in military action but also in creating a psychological shift that diminishes their will to fight. Only then can a stable alternative government be established, paving the way for lasting peace and regional stability. The ongoing fight against Hamas is inching closer to total victory, a crucial step toward achieving peace in the region.
