BiH FA Ministry’s Update on Diplomats’ Health in Pakistan

A convoy of foreign diplomats, including those from Bosnia and Herzegovina, narrowly escaped tragedy in Pakistan when their vehicles hit a mine. Despite the close call, all diplomats from BiH were unharmed. The Palestinian Authority is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the explosion as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to monitor the situation.

Tragically, a policeman lost his life while three others sustained injuries in the blast. The convoy consisted of diplomats from various countries, including BiH, Russia, Vietnam, and Portugal. The convoy was en route to a tourist resort when the incident occurred in northwest Pakistan.

Although the responsible party for the attack remains unknown, Pakistan’s counterterrorism forces are actively searching for militants in the area following the ceasefire breach in late 2022. The diplomats safely returned to Mingore town, and injured individuals are receiving treatment at Sidhu Sharif Hospital.

With ongoing security concerns in the region, the incident serves as a sobering reminder of the risks faced by diplomatic personnel in unstable areas.
