Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, spoke at the UN Summit of the Future event in New York on September 20. The summit, titled “Empowering Youth for Sustainable Futures”, focused on intergenerational responsibility and skills for a just transition. Organized with the support of Armenia, Cyprus, India, and Portugal, the event highlighted the efforts of various countries in promoting environmental protection and green education.
Deputy Minister Kostanyan shared Armenia’s initiatives in raising awareness about environmental issues and engaging the youth in sustainable practices. He also discussed the educational reforms undertaken by the Armenian government to ensure quality education for the younger generation.
Emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships, Kostanyan highlighted several innovative educational projects in Armenia, such as the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, “Armath” laboratories, and the “Generation AI” educational program.
