Ukraine Attacks Two Russian Weapons Depots in 80 Characters

Ukraine recently made headlines after striking two weapons depots in southern and western Russia, causing evacuations and a local emergency declaration. President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the military actions and emphasized the importance of Ukraine’s partners in ending the war against Russia.

The strikes coincided with Zelensky’s upcoming visit to the United States where he plans to present strategies to stop the 31-month-long conflict. The Ukrainian army targeted key Russian ammunition storage bases, including one near Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar region. While the exact impact is yet to be confirmed, Krasnodar governor Vieniamin Kondratyev stated that a drone attack sparked a fire near Tikhoretsk, resulting in evacuations and a state of emergency in the city.

In a separate incident, Russia reportedly targeted Kryvyi Rig, Zelensky’s hometown, resulting in the deaths of a 12-year-old boy and two elderly women. The Krasnodar region, usually spared from such attacks, has seen an increase in assaults over the past year. Tensions remain high, with ongoing drone attacks in southern Ukraine. The situation is rapidly evolving, with both sides facing casualties and destruction.
