Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized Israel’s recent attacks in Lebanon, expressing concerns about Israel’s desire to escalate conflicts in the region. Erdogan described Israel’s actions as terrorist-like and called for international intervention to stop further aggression.
In light of the recent explosions in Lebanon that resulted in numerous casualties, Erdogan emphasized the urgent need for global governance reform, particularly within the UN Security Council. He plans to address these issues at the UN General Assembly and advocate for a more inclusive and effective structure to address ongoing crises.
Erdogan also highlighted the escalating violence in Gaza and the need for a permanent cease-fire to prevent further casualties. He called for increased pressure on Israel to prevent a catastrophic situation in the region.
On the Syrian matter, Erdogan expressed willingness to normalize relations with Bashar Assad’s regime and awaits a response for potential diplomatic dialogue.
