In a heartwarming gesture, Japan’s Ambassador, Mr. Masami Kinefuchi, presented three ambulance vehicles and medical equipment to healthcare institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina during a meeting with Minister Dubravka Bošnjak on September 20, 2024.
This generous donation, amounting to 100,000,000 Japanese yen, was part of an Agreement between the two governments signed in 2021. The Toyota ambulance vehicles, valued at 153,810.00 euros, were allocated to healthcare facilities in Republika Srpska, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Brčko District.
Specifically, the recipients of these vehicles include ZU Hospital “Sveti Vračevi” Bijeljina, ZU Cantonal Hospital “Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” Bihać, and the Sub-Department for Public Health of Brčko District BiH. Additionally, a portable ultrasound scanner had been donated to JZU Bolnica Gradiška in 2023.
Ambassador Kinefuchi expressed his hope that these donations would enhance the quality of healthcare services and ultimately improve the lives of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
