The Punjab Government to Suspend Mobile and Internet Services for MDCAT Exam

The Punjab government has announced the suspension of mobile and internet services in the province on September 22 to ensure a fair Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) environment. The services will be suspended within 500 meters of the 12 districts where the exam will take place, including Lahore, Gujranwala, and Multan.

With 82,500 candidates set to appear for the exam, the government has also imposed Section 144 in 12 cities to restrict the movement of non-essential individuals near exam centers. These measures aim to prevent cheating and external assistance during the examination.

Protests and demonstrations near exam centers have been banned to maintain a secure environment for candidates and supervisory staff. These strict actions highlight the government’s commitment to conducting a transparent and secure MDCAT exam across Punjab.
