Edo election: APC’s Oshiomole denies vote-buying accusation

Senator Adams Oshiomole denies vote-buying allegations in Edo election

In the recent Edo election, Senator Adams Oshiomole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, refuted claims of the All Progressives Congress (APC) using money to buy votes. The former governor of Edo state addressed journalists after casting his vote at Iyamho, Ward 10 Unit 01 in Estako West Local Government Area.

Oshiomole dismissed the accusations as laughable, stating that the turnout of voters was a result of their desire for good governance. He highlighted the enduring impact of his past initiatives compared to the current administration’s work.

He emphasized, “People turned out in large numbers to vote for us because they wanted good government. During our campaign, people came out to see me not because I wanted to give them something but because of what I have done for them while I was in office as governor.”

With a strong defense against vote-buying claims, Oshiomole reaffirmed the unique appeal of his governance and the community’s recognition of his past efforts.
