CSCEC from China discusses airport development in Egypt with Aviation Minister

Egypt’s Civil Aviation Minister, Sameh al-Hanafy, met with a delegation from the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to discuss enhancing private sector involvement in Egypt’s development plans. The goal is to improve services for travelers at Egyptian airports through infrastructure projects.

This meeting reflects the strong strategic relationship between Egypt and China, following recent coordination meetings at the China-Africa Cooperation Forum summit. The Egyptian Cabinet statement highlighted discussions on joint cooperation for airport development projects with the Chinese company.

The CSCEC presented proposed designs for Cairo and Hurghada international airports to elevate Egypt’s airport system to global standards. Minister al-Hanafy commended the partnership and expressed interest in exploring future project agreements.

The CSCEC representative emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s civil aviation sector, enhancing the country’s appeal as a tourist and investment destination. This collaboration showcases the potential for impactful infrastructure projects in Egypt.
