Cadets Assist with Flood Defenses in Poland

Students from military universities have united to assist in flood defense efforts across Poland. Cadets from Dęblin, Warsaw, and Wrocław were deployed to reinforce levees along several rivers. The dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly outside of their regular duty hours to support these crucial missions.

Extensive Support

The Military University of Technology, the Land Forces Academy, and the Air Force Academy collectively contributed over 300 cadets to the cause. In Wrocław, cadets worked alongside the Territorial Defense Forces to provide aid. The Engineering and Chemical Warfare Training Center also lent their support to the flood defense operations.

Stanisław Wziątek, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense, extended his gratitude to the cadets for their efforts. He highlighted the importance of preparing for modern security threats, including natural disasters like the ongoing floods.

Continuing the Mission

The Air Force Academy cadets engaged in sandbag filling and patrolling along the Odra River, while their counterparts from the Land Forces Academy focused on reinforcing flood defenses near Wrocław. Over 25,000 soldiers are expected to participate in these vital operations in the coming days.
