In a recent development, the Allahabad High Court has rejected the bail application of former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan in a machine theft case. Justice Samit Gopal passed the order, dismissing the bail plea after hearing arguments from both sides.
The case dates back to 2022 when Khan, his son, and five others were accused of stealing a road-cleaning machine that belonged to the Nagar Palika Parishad in Rampur district. The machine was reportedly found later at Khan’s Jauhar University in Rampur.
Following a change in government, a new FIR was filed in 2022 by Wakar Ali Khan at Kotwali, Rampur, implicating the seven individuals in the theft of the government’s road-cleaning machine back in 2014.
This latest ruling by the Allahabad High Court underscores the gravity of the accusations against Azam Khan and his son. Stay tuned for further updates as the legal proceedings unfold.
