VHP urges State govts to hand over temple control to Hindu society amid Tirupati laddu row

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has expressed outrage over the alleged use of animal fat in Tirupati laddu, calling it “intolerable.” VHP Secretary General Bajrang Bagda demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government hand over control of the temple to the Hindu society and free all temples from government control nationwide. Bagda emphasized that government interference in temple management leads to impurities like the use of animal fat in prasadam.

The VHP is adamant that temples and Hindu religious sites should be managed by the Hindu community, not the government. Bagda condemned the desecration of Tirupati laddu and called for a thorough investigation and legal action against the perpetrators. VHP National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal echoed these sentiments, stating that over four lakh temples across India are under government control, which the VHP aims to change through a forthcoming campaign.

The VHP is determined to protect Hindu faith and traditions by advocating for the autonomy of temples and religious sites. Stay updated on this developing story with News18.
