US Congresswoman Calls Out Silence on Israel’s Killing of Palestinians
A US congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib, criticized her colleagues for staying silent on Israel’s killing of Palestinians, including babies, in the Gaza Strip. She called it a “horrific crime against humanity” and urged for action to stop the violence. Tlaib highlighted the names of 710 babies killed by Israeli attacks, emphasizing the need to recognize the humanity of Palestinians.
Despite a UN Security Council resolution for a cease-fire, Israel continues its brutal offensive on Gaza, leading to thousands of casualties and displacements. Tlaib also condemned the ongoing blockade in Gaza, causing severe shortages of essential supplies. She called for an end to arms sales to Israel, labeling the actions as genocide.
As the situation escalates, accusations of genocide against Israel have been brought to the International Court of Justice. The plea for international intervention to stop the violence in Gaza remains urgent as the civilian population, mostly women and children, face the brunt of the conflict.
